At times we may feel more stressed, irritated, over the edge, tired, less motivated, more depressed and blue
All of these are normal responses to the events happening in our lives And in times like this it is important to care for our mental health
Here are a few reminders to those who are suffering:
YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY
It may take time, but don’t keep yourself from being happy just because you don’t think you deserve it, because you do. If you don’t hear it enough, hear it from us, YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY.
YOU HAVE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT CARE ABOUT YOU
You matter to your friends, family, your community and us!
RESTING DOES NOT MAKE YOU LAZY
An important part of caring for your mental health, and yourself, is to take time for yourself. It’s okay, and completely normal, if all you want to do is rest. You need it, you deserve it and it’ essential
DON'T FORGET YOUR VALUE
You matter, you are important, you are loved. Treat yourself with kindness, care and respect.
HAVE SOME ME-TIME
For some this could be exercising, for some art, and for some meditation or it can be laying on the floor and staring at the ceiling…
ASK FOR HELP
When you recognize you’re not feeling well, ask for help. Talk to your friends, family, even a few minutes can help you gather your thoughts, better understand how you’re feeling. You don’t have to cope with all of these emotions on your own
Of course also eat well, sleep well, and keep active.
